Federal financial aid in relation to rising tuition costs Essay

Government budgetary guide corresponding to rising educational cost costs - Essay Example It never appears that legislative intercession is wanted in many organizations and likely schools and colleges are the same. The individuals who may contend against the incomplete cost repayment program may propose this is a type of value control (Hauptman, 1998) which would give legislative controllers extensive authority over college and school business. Nonetheless, the proof doesn't propose that fractional repayment of educational cost costs is value control rather it is intended to diminish the weights on educational cost paying understudies, particularly those with lower-level levels of pay. Extra contentions identified with value control may propose this would be a strategy to make a type of intensity between rival colleges and schools, when purchaser livelihoods are down, to give a few colleges with a higher money related portfolio an edge over less-prosperous or money rich colleges. From a microeconomic point of view, the exercises of the school or college identified with repayment projects may guarantee a higher volume of intrigued understudies than those colleges which don't give fractional cost repayments. This would not be an incentive to the understudy on the off chance that they were denied fractional repayments to help with everyday needs, for example, dress and in-house dinners. Incomplete cost repayment would likewise give understudies the important instruments to succeed. Morris and Maisto (2005) offer a remarkable hypothesis of human needs proposed by therapist Abraham Maslow in which the requirements of understudies begin at the most fundamental, for example, food and water (physiological) and progress through a progression of stages until they arrive at self-completion, or the zenith of their human limit. Under this model, it is estimated that no individual can advance through self-improvement until essential thing needs are met. The fractional cost repayment program, as displayed by Maslow’s hypothesis, would give understudies a wide assortment of physiological

Topics include building your network, learning from mistakes and setbacks, perfecting your written communication, and mastering even the toughest interviews. For more information or to sign up for a free career consultation, visit  www.mbacareercoaches.com. As we have noted in prior posts, cover letters are frequently ignored. A great way to increase the chances of yours being ignored is to start a cover letter with this opener, as many do: “My name is Jon Smith and I am interested in applying for a position with your (insert adjective) firm.” Why is this a terrible opener? Because it is obviously banal, but is also so common that it does nothing to engage the reader. It reveals you to be just like dozens of others. So, if you want someone to read your cover letter, make sure that it speaks to your personal experience: “Since arriving at Dartmouth-Tuck, I have been solely focused on opportunities in the field of strategy consulting and your firm has stood out for X and Y reason…” “A few weeks ago, I had the opportunity to speak with (name), a managing director at your firm and learned A and B….” “As I make my career transition, (firm name) has emerged as a tremendous opportunity for me to apply my A and B skills to X and Y challenges…” These openers above have a voice and add new information about your candidacy that recruiters do not already know from your resume and email address, unlike “My name is Jon Smith…” When you write your cover letter, think about that first line. It is your most important opportunity to engage your reader and hope that he/she hangs on to learn more. Don’t squander that opportunity! Share ThisTweet MBA Career Advice

China Industrial Bank - 1100 Words

China Industrial Bank (Research Paper Sample) Content: China Industrial Bank Name: Instructor: Affiliation: Course: Date: Introduction The major goals of many business organizations are profit maximization. It is a requirement for the organizations to always have a positive impact on the social lives of its surrounding society. The community members need to perform in any business activity at their own will and have freedom of choice in their areas of specialization. This calls for need to abolish forced and compulsory labor among all business portfolios while at the same time need to ensure the company undertakes the initiative of ensuring that business promotes greater environmental responsibility. This is significant for business organizations for the enhancement of the organization’s public image. On the same note, the organization will be able to attract more customers, workers, investors, consumers, as well as suppliers. This essay will discuss how abolishing forced and compulsory labor among the employees in the organization will have positive impacts to the organization and the society in general. In the same manner, the essay discusses the need of undertaking some initiatives that promote greater environmental responsibility (National Conference on Business Ethics, 1981). Overview of China Industrial Bank The bank started its operations in August 1988, with headquarters situated in Fuzhou City, Fujian Province. This Industrial Bank is one of the first batches that formed a joint-stock commercial banks and hence received approval from the State Council together with the People’s Bank of China. The main business of this Bank includes; deposits taking, provision of loans, local and international payment and settlement, accepting of bills and discounting, issuing of the financial loans, issuing of agencies, the cashing and underwriting of government bonds, the inter-bank placement and borrowings among other key operations that receive approval by the China’ s Banking Regulatory Commission (CBRC). For many years, this Bank has been endeavoring itself on offering all-round, top-quality, and high-efficient financial services for its clients on the basis of managerial ideas that stresses on â€Å"Developing Together, Growing Together† and â€Å"Services Starts with Sincerity†. Towards the end of the June, 2006 period, the Bank’s total assets achieved RMD 532.22 billion, of which the shareholder’s equity amounted to RMD 14.14 billion. The net profit posted RMD 1.746, and all this success could be attributed to good management strategies that the Bank implements on its operations. However, there are other sectors that require consideration, and this forms the part of recommendations (WORLD BANK, 1990). There is need of elimination of all forms of forced and compulsory labour China Industrial Bank is one of the leading domestic banks in the nation and thus has many impacts to the people in the whole nation. For instance, people receive loans at much subsidized rates that enable them to start their independent investments and respective projects. More so, the bank offers employment to the community members who in turn have some income to run their families in the long run. However, the Bank has its set rules and procedures that all employees have to follow and uphold while conducting the bank’s transactions. In as much as this process ensures that the company meets its goals, I would like to propose that the company tries to implement the forms of compulsory labour on its workers. The reason for this proposal is that most people are only pushed to work and fulfill the requirements for the purposes of sustaining their jobs. More so, they are bored in this whole process (International Labour Office, 2008). Removing forced labour will definitely provide room for quality services since people will come up with constructive ideas that will benefit the Bank majorly. Another advantage of u sing this strategy is that it provides room for identifying the best employees from the underperforming ones, thus making each member of staff to pull up their socks due to the effect of inter-competition. Every will be under pressure to perform in order to receive recognition while at the same time work on willing basis. This type of environment is essential for a strong business and builds a friendly working environment for all employees. The services that these employees will provide to the customers will be of high quality and as a result, more and more people will be attracted to the company. Working in large volumes definitely implies a positive business and thus great returns are subject to receive in the long run. This is a management strategy that has worked for many organizations and financial corporate that is worth giving a try. Undertaking the initiatives to promote greater environmental responsibility Having a healthy working environment is a basic tool in any b usiness operational activities. In many cases, this is where the government comes into play as the regulator in such areas. Businesses tend to misuse and overuse the public properties when they all target at achieving more profits, thus putting a way the concept of â€Å"free market† in the current business world. The government introduces some policies that are essential at shaping the business communication and interactions. For instance, it sets some legal frameworks, levies on business and managing the economy. This whole process faces some different opinions from different groups of people, and these results into two groups; the pessimists and the optimists. The pessimists usually tend to invite the government at stepping in to rectify some failings in the market, while the optimists are interested at restricting the government as far as possible and if possible achieve the â€Å"free market† (Bernstein, 2003). Having a free will market is dangerous for the econo my since many injustices will arise because of this type of management. For instance, the banks will increase the rates fr...

The War Of The American Civil War Essay - 2025 Words

The American Civil war was the single bloodiest war fought on United States soil. It was a war to reunite a once great nation. One important aspect that historians now understand is the effect the war had on the women who were left behind especially in the South. They were forced by proximity to become part of the war. Women, in the South proved they were strong; they had their morals and were not afraid to speak their minds. They understood the war was necessary for the South and they helped the war effort any way they could. They especially proved they were just as loyal to the Confederate cause as Southern men. Within diaries from women who were on the home front we can get a great understanding of how their lives were affected by the Civil War. We can understand how the war drastically changed women’s life both physically and mentally. Understanding that women were not just bystanders during the Civil War, is the first part of explaining how the War affected them. This is England - 936 Words

This Is England While watching the movie â€Å"This is England† as â€Å"the other†, I was able to experience a culture that was socially, culturally, politically, and ethically different from that of my own. It was interesting to see a story unfold through the perspective of a young boy named Shaun. The director showed Shaun’s experiences dealing with serious issues England was facing at the time such as racism, gangs, immigration, and unemployment. Losing his father at an early age, Shaun lacked an older figure to guide him towards the right path which ultimately causes him to join a gang called the Skinheads. Based on the movie, gangs seem to be one of the major problems within England’s social economic political system. At first the gang Shaun†¦show more content†¦In spite of the outcomes of past events, England does not seem to care. Of course, if one grew up in England and was raised to believe that whites were superior to all races then that would be the social norm. If one was born in America, he or she would grow up to believe that all humans were created equal no matter what race you were. This is evident through the perspective of the main character of the movie. Shaun grew up without a father figure to teach him about ethics and morals. Shaun becomes more attracted towards Combo’s strong character as the movie progresses. Consequently, Combo eventually brainwashes the young boy and made him believe that everyone in England who was not white caused a major problem in society. However, I strongly believe that racism only causes more problems. Living in America – the land of equal opportunity – for all twenty one years of my life I have never experienced any major problems just because whites and other minorities settled and lived in the same area. Visit to Miss Haveshams Essay Example For Students

Visit to Miss Haveshams Essay Pip sees no wrong in lying to his sister nor Mr Pumblechook, towards Joe and Joe only, I considered myself a young monster, Showing the only person he considers himself bad towards is Joe. Pip only seeks Joes approval , you are not angry with me Joe?  Pip confides in Joe, I should like to tell you something, only Joe is worthy of Pips attention. He tells Joe with such ease, Its a terrible thing Joe, it aint true. Its lies Joe therefore Joe is the only one to know the truth. After recalling the visit in his young now bewildered and baffled mind, Pip proceeds to blame Joe. But I wished you hadnt taught me to call Knaves at cards, Jacks, and I wish my boots werent so thick nor my hands so coarse. The quotation demonstrates Pip sees himself wrong in Estellas eyes. Dickens uses wish and wished, to great effect, as these show Pips new found wants and desires, pip no longer sees his life as consolable. In reality this is just a socially discriminate term, comparing Pips pronunciation to be   Jacks, where as Estella calls them Knaves, this to Pip appears right.  Pip is emotionally distraught by the visit, he tells Joe: I felt very miserable. Showing his clear self-esteem and emotional demoralisation. Pip realises and evaluates Estellas scornful remarks of him, she said I was common, and that I knew I was common.  An excellent example of the change in Pip is when he sums up his day, that was a memorable day for me, for it made great changes in me. Pip himself realises the changes that have occurred within him. Pip has changed enormously, his feelings about his life, his future, his appearance and home life have been turned upside down. Pip is no longer happy, it is a most miserable thing to feel ashamed of home.  Pip relates everything to Miss Havesham and Estella, Now it was all coarse and common, and I would not have had Miss Havesham and Estella see it on my account. Showing his shear embarrassment at the thought of them seeing, the state of his life.  Prior to his visit to Miss Haveshams his only consolation was Joe , Joe had sanctified it and I believed in it, Pip has realised that there is more than the forge and Joe in the world, this is his reasoning for wanting more: as he knows there is more. The change in Pips life brings about him feeling that his life is boring, dull and non- prosperous, my life lay stretched out straight before me through the newly entered road of apprenticeship to Joe. The metaphor of the journey, implies no variation to his dull routine. The only consolation for Pip is plain contented Joe, showing he is pleased Joe hasnt realised the full extent of Pips worries about his future, Pip hides his unhappiness, purely for Joe. Before meeting Miss Havesham and Estella, Pip had no embarrassment about his life now his main dread is: I was haunted by the fear that she would sooner or later, find me out, with a black face and hands doing the coarsest part of my work and would exult over me and despise me. This shows Pips total humiliation, he only desires to be seen as good in Estellas eyes.  A main change in Pip is that he no longer desires to stay at the house, and also work in the forge. Because Joe was faithful, that I never ran away. Showing deep down he wants to escape and have the chance of a better life. Pip would also like to be so much more, restless, aspiring, discontented me, showing he wants to be something he isnt. .ue4928c3e640e08b93544a5612ba5fdb2 , .ue4928c3e640e08b93544a5612ba5fdb2 .postImageUrl , .ue4928c3e640e08b93544a5612ba5fdb2 .centered-text-area { min-height: 80px; position: relative; } .ue4928c3e640e08b93544a5612ba5fdb2 , .ue4928c3e640e08b93544a5612ba5fdb2:hover , .ue4928c3e640e08b93544a5612ba5fdb2:visited , .ue4928c3e640e08b93544a5612ba5fdb2:active { border:0!important; } .ue4928c3e640e08b93544a5612ba5fdb2 .clearfix:after { content: ""; display: table; clear: both; } .ue4928c3e640e08b93544a5612ba5fdb2 { display: block; transition: background-color 250ms; webkit-transition: background-color 250ms; width: 100%; opacity: 1; transition: opacity 250ms; webkit-transition: opacity 250ms; background-color: #95A5A6; } .ue4928c3e640e08b93544a5612ba5fdb2:active , .ue4928c3e640e08b93544a5612ba5fdb2:hover { opacity: 1; transition: opacity 250ms; webkit-transition: opacity 250ms; background-color: #2C3E50; } .ue4928c3e640e08b93544a5612ba5fdb2 .centered-text-area { width: 100%; position: relative ; } .ue4928c3e640e08b93544a5612ba5fdb2 .ctaText { border-bottom: 0 solid #fff; color: #2980B9; font-size: 16px; font-weight: bold; margin: 0; padding: 0; text-decoration: underline; } .ue4928c3e640e08b93544a5612ba5fdb2 .postTitle { color: #FFFFFF; font-size: 16px; font-weight: 600; margin: 0; padding: 0; width: 100%; } .ue4928c3e640e08b93544a5612ba5fdb2 .ctaButton { background-color: #7F8C8D!important; color: #2980B9; border: none; border-radius: 3px; box-shadow: none; font-size: 14px; font-weight: bold; line-height: 26px; moz-border-radius: 3px; text-align: center; text-decoration: none; text-shadow: none; width: 80px; min-height: 80px; background: url(https://artscolumbia.org/wp-content/plugins/intelly-related-posts/assets/images/simple-arrow.png)no-repeat; position: absolute; right: 0; top: 0; } .ue4928c3e640e08b93544a5612ba5fdb2:hover .ctaButton { background-color: #34495E!important; } .ue4928c3e640e08b93544a5612ba5fdb2 .centered-text { display: table; height: 80px; padding-left : 18px; top: 0; } .ue4928c3e640e08b93544a5612ba5fdb2 .ue4928c3e640e08b93544a5612ba5fdb2-content { display: table-cell; margin: 0; padding: 0; padding-right: 108px; position: relative; vertical-align: middle; width: 100%; } .ue4928c3e640e08b93544a5612ba5fdb2:after { content: ""; display: block; clear: both; } READ: Othello And His Tragic Flaw EssayPips change in character has bought forward a new admiration in him, I want to be a gentlemen. This means that he wants to learn manners and how to treat a lady. This is because he wants to impress and please Estella, and also for people to look up to him, however Pip only sees a gentlemen from the outside. Pip is inpatient, he wants to become a gentlemen instantly, I am disgusted with my calling. He is using much more refined language, to illustrate his future. Pips wishes for the future are shown with: Make the most of every chance, he wishes he could have just one chance to become a gentlemen. Pip is confused as to whether he wants to become a gentlemen to spite or to gain Estela over, and I want to be a gentlemen on her account. Illustrating his state of confusion regarding his future.  When Pip is informed about his great expectations, we see him as ecstatic, my heart was beating so fast, and there was such a singing in my ears, that I could scarcely stammer I had no objection. Showing his distinct pleasure toward his goof fortune.  We still see signs of Pips vivid imagination as we noted, at the beginning , I was lost in the mazes of my future fortunes, and could not retrace the bypaths we had trodden together. This shows Pips confusion as to how his great fortunes came upon him. Pip takes note of the others reactions, there was a certain touch of sadness in their congratulations, that I rather resented. Pip fails to empathise with their sadness, he takes it personally, this is a sign of his new found hierarchy. Pip still however considers Joe to be good natured, O dear good Joe, whom I was so ready to leave and so unthankful to. Showing the change within him that, by saying this he considers himself more important than Joe. We feel the change in Pip has been represented as him becoming selfish, he now considers himself superior to everyone. Thats just what I dont want Joe. They would make such a business of it- such a coarse and common business, that I couldnt bear myself. Dickens choice of the words coarse and common, are in two ways ironic. Firstly he feels the very people who he went to for his education, are now below him. Also these words are the words Estella scornfully tormented him with. Pip doesnt think after his great expectations, he will be able to go back to his old ways. It was an uneasy bed now, and I never slept the old sound sleep in it anymore. Dickens repeatedly shows Pips reflection from the future to the past. He also continuously shows Pips reflection towards his present situation, feeling it very sorrowful and strange that the first night of my bright fortunes, should be the loneliest I had ever known. Pip sees his new fortunes as not starting very positive for him. Pips attitude towards leaving for London, when he awakes is prosperous, I was for London and greatness. Dickens uses the word greatness, to derive Pips views of his future success. Although Pip is sure of his greatness, he still finds it hard to leave Joe,  I broke into tears, screening his true feelings. Pip feels proud, he wants to be seen as mature and strong, I had told Joe that I wished to walk away alone. This shows his pride, and perhaps stubbornness. This is an example of a drastic change within him. However he still recognises Joes goodness, appreciative of the society of Joe. Pips thoughts and feelings are greatly contrasting, get down and walk back, in comparison with, I went on. The quotes show, how Pip feels he should go back to Joe, yet he is torn by his future prospects, the world lay spread before me. These contrasting thoughts of Pips represent a great change within him. Before his great expectations, he never had the need for such contrasting thoughts, as his life was simple and easy, now many decisions will have to be made by himself.  Dickens wrote the last part of Pips departure with great heist, we changed again and yet again. Representing Pips continuous journey towards his new world of: greatness and wealth. .u220d19a6b268fe6f2458400aa252c2b6 , .u220d19a6b268fe6f2458400aa252c2b6 .postImageUrl , .u220d19a6b268fe6f2458400aa252c2b6 .centered-text-area { min-height: 80px; position: relative; } .u220d19a6b268fe6f2458400aa252c2b6 , .u220d19a6b268fe6f2458400aa252c2b6:hover , .u220d19a6b268fe6f2458400aa252c2b6:visited , .u220d19a6b268fe6f2458400aa252c2b6:active { border:0!important; } .u220d19a6b268fe6f2458400aa252c2b6 .clearfix:after { content: ""; display: table; clear: both; } .u220d19a6b268fe6f2458400aa252c2b6 { display: block; transition: background-color 250ms; webkit-transition: background-color 250ms; width: 100%; opacity: 1; transition: opacity 250ms; webkit-transition: opacity 250ms; background-color: #95A5A6; } .u220d19a6b268fe6f2458400aa252c2b6:active , .u220d19a6b268fe6f2458400aa252c2b6:hover { opacity: 1; transition: opacity 250ms; webkit-transition: opacity 250ms; background-color: #2C3E50; } .u220d19a6b268fe6f2458400aa252c2b6 .centered-text-area { width: 100%; position: relative ; } .u220d19a6b268fe6f2458400aa252c2b6 .ctaText { border-bottom: 0 solid #fff; color: #2980B9; font-size: 16px; font-weight: bold; margin: 0; padding: 0; text-decoration: underline; } .u220d19a6b268fe6f2458400aa252c2b6 .postTitle { color: #FFFFFF; font-size: 16px; font-weight: 600; margin: 0; padding: 0; width: 100%; } .u220d19a6b268fe6f2458400aa252c2b6 .ctaButton { background-color: #7F8C8D!important; color: #2980B9; border: none; border-radius: 3px; box-shadow: none; font-size: 14px; font-weight: bold; line-height: 26px; moz-border-radius: 3px; text-align: center; text-decoration: none; text-shadow: none; width: 80px; min-height: 80px; background: url(https://artscolumbia.org/wp-content/plugins/intelly-related-posts/assets/images/simple-arrow.png)no-repeat; position: absolute; right: 0; top: 0; } .u220d19a6b268fe6f2458400aa252c2b6:hover .ctaButton { background-color: #34495E!important; } .u220d19a6b268fe6f2458400aa252c2b6 .centered-text { display: table; height: 80px; padding-left : 18px; top: 0; } .u220d19a6b268fe6f2458400aa252c2b6 .u220d19a6b268fe6f2458400aa252c2b6-content { display: table-cell; margin: 0; padding: 0; padding-right: 108px; position: relative; vertical-align: middle; width: 100%; } .u220d19a6b268fe6f2458400aa252c2b6:after { content: ""; display: block; clear: both; } READ: What are our expectations for the play to come? Oil Prices Affect

Question: How oil prices affect the AD or AS of an economy? Answer: Introduction The modern business environment has witnessed the importance and impact of oil prices upon the world business environment. Oil prices can have a considerable impact on the overall economy of the world. If there is a too much deflation or inflation in the oil prices, then the world economy will suffer, and a financial crisis will take place. There are two types of countries in the world. In addition to this, it can be inferred that the world economy revolves around the transportation and consumption of goods throughout the whole world. In addition to this, there are different types of economic systems that exist throughout the world. It can also is also inferred that the price of crude oil has fallen to a great extent in comparison with last year. This report will throw on the impact of the falling crude oil prices on the expenses upon the nations who are importing petrol. (Fasenfest, 2014). Effect of oil prices on aggregate demand and aggregate supply of an economy Modern economics revolves around the relationship between two major elements. These two elements are demand and supply of goods with its respective prices. Price elasticity plays an effective role while determining the relationship between the given two elements. The current scenario of the global oil process reflects that the prices of crude oil are on the declining stage. This can be further reflected through the below graph of the trends in crude oil prices. The above figure suggests about the trends of crude oil prices of the economy. It reflects that the prices of crude oil have come down since the last financial year of 2014-2015. This has a major impact on the petrol importing countries. Oil prices forms the core of all the business economies, whether it is an oil exporting country or oil importing country. There are several impacts on crude oil prices on the economy of the world. This has a considerable impact on the importers of the substitute product petrol in the world economy. Crude oil forms the core of all commodities throughout the whole world. It can be inferred that the world economy is divided into exporters and importers. The major importers of crude oil are China, India, Australia, Japan, United States, etc. They can have a positive advantage due to the fall of oil prices. This is mainly because the consumption of goods and other household expenditure depends upon the consumption of oil through the oil importing countries. The famous oil shock had a considerable impact upon these oil importing countries. The global financial crisis due to the effect of inflation had a considerable impact on these oil importing countries. There are several elements that the global oil prices have a primary impact. These elements are real income, prices and demands of substitute products and rate of inflation in an economy of oil importing country. Real income- This has a negative elasticity with global oil prices in case of oil importing countries. This is mainly because the consumption of household income and household expenses depends upon the oil prices of the economy. Therefore, due to the decrease of global oil prices, the household and consumption expense will increase which have a positive effect on the impact of the real income of the economy (Kilian, 2008). Prices of Petrol- Due to the decrease of global oil prices, the prices of dependent product petrol will automatically decrease as prices of crude oil decreases. This also have a pivotal impact on the consumption pattern of the household pattern of the importers of petrol. Rate of inflation- There is a direct relationship between the between prices of crude oils and rate of inflation of an economy. Due to the decrease of crude oils, the rate of inflation will come down as the current account deficient of the countries will come down due to the fall in rate of oil subsidiaries. Effect on aggregate demand- The impact of aggregate demand of oil importing countries due to the fall of crude oil prices can be explained through the assist of the following table:- price Old Demand (quantity) New demand (Quantity) 100 200 400 95 300 500 85 400 600 75 500 700 10 600 800 Table 1: Impact of decrease of oil prices on aggregate demand he above table and graph reflects that the due to the decrease of oil prices, the aggregate demand curve shifts to the right. This further reflects that the aggregate demand increases due to the given structure of oil prices (Madureira, 2014). In addition to this, there are multiple amounts of macroeconomic factors that have a considerable impact due to the rise or fall of oil prices in the given world economy. These macroeconomic factors are a lower rate of inflation in the economy and higher amount of productivity in the total number of output produced. When the oil prices start falling, then, the rate of inflation will also fall as the real income of an economy increases. In addition to this, the total amount of output produced in an economy also increases due to the falling oil prices. The gross domestic product (GDP) of oil importing country will rise as Current Account Deficit of the country will fall due to the increase of per capital income. This will further have a considerable impact on the aggregate supply of petrol (Mankiw and Reis, 2010). The demand for crude oil increases as the households needs to pay less amount of expenditure for electricity as well as driving their cars or consuming different types of goo ds and services. This can have a major impact on the supply of crude oils as well. This can also be explained with the assist of the below table and graph. price Old supply New supply 100 200 400 95 300 500 85 400 600 75 500 700 10 600 800 Table 2: Impact of decrease of oil prices on aggregate supply Aggregate supply may be defined as the total amount of total rate at which the goods and services produced at a particular period in a particular economy. It also helps in establishing an effective correlation between the two elements of economics that is, price and the total amount of quantity produced. It is seen, from the above table and graph, the aggregate supply curve shifts to the right due to the fall in crude oil prices. This further suggests that the supply of crude oil prices increases as the crude oil prices fall. This is mainly because the demand for the oil and petrol increases due to the fallen prices. It further adds up a pivotal impact on the global oil prices. In addition to this, the household and petrol importing countries import more and more crude oil to minimize their balance of trade and balance of payments. On the contrary, it may be also inferred that the petrol exporting countries will have a negative impact due to the given fall in crude oil prices. The major reason behind this is that the profitability and trade surplus will get reduced by a considerable manner (Haase and Zimmermann, 2013) However, there are several exceptions with regards to the decrease in oil prices and its impact on aggregate demand and aggregate supply. If there are inflation and the higher amount of current account deficit in particular petrol importing country, then the aggregate demand may not change even if the prices of crude oil prices fall. However, on the contrary, in case of countries having a higher amount of current account deficit, then they can easily reduce due to falling crude oil prices with the help of increase of per capital income and rate of gross domestic product. The aggregate demand and aggregate supply of the crude oil importing countries may also depend upon the monetary policy of the respective financial markets of the economy. In addition to this, it can be also inferred that if the monitory policy and valuation of exchange rate are not strong enough and is depreciating, then, the decrease in oil prices may not have a considerable effect on that particular country. There fore, the exceptional factors that can be considered here is with regards to importing countries are in the form of inflation rate, required monetary policy, current exchange rate and total rate of impact of financial market of the respective economy. Conclusion It is concluded that the global oil prices have a huge impact on all the overall world economy. In addition to this, the decrease in crude oil prices has a positive impact on the oil importing countries. This is mainly because, the household incomes and gross domestic product of the importing countries increase as the total number of expenses of the organization decreases. Therefore, the aggregate demand and aggregate supply of the crude oil increases in the oil importing countries. References Chang, C. L., McAleer, M., and Tansuchat, R. (2013). Do You Think You Will Get High Grades in Your Essay Samples?People often ask the question of why it is that they do not feel like they will be getting high grades in the tests? They do not believe they will get them because it seems that all the people who are tested are given grades which are over four hundred and above, and they are not even fully qualified to get these high grades. In fact, many people are wondering how they can afford to be offered these kinds of grades. Why is it that people get them so high and how can people afford them, if they really have to make up their mind of whether they want to go for those particular essays? Well, the fact is that there are so many different essay samples, which are being offered at all the levels, the subject matter is very important. These essays samples are made by professional writers, who use all the skills and techniques which will make the writer stand out in the race. These writers use words and phrases and different ways of wr iting and so forth to ensure that they have every possible feature that a very good writer can have. The reason that people do not feel like they will get these high grades, is because the writer does not have the right kind of writing, or the skill set to give such high grades. The writer may be a writer, but he cannot write in the same manner as a political strategist, a commentator, a magazine editor, or a reporter can do. The editors do not always find this out and are happy with them, because they do not want to have to take on too many writers. So, some people wonder why they do not feel like they will get such high grades, if they write a persuasive essay. But it is actually because the subjects being written about are just too important, that the writers are unable to come up with good writing.Other people wonder why the students cannot come up with their best because their writing samples are so bad. B Cells

B Cells B cells are white blood cells that protect the body against pathogens such as bacteria and viruses. Pathogens and foreign matter have associated  molecular signals that identify them as antigens. B cells recognize these  molecular signals and produce antibodies that are specific to the specific antigen. There are billions of B cells in the body. Unactivated B cells circulate in the blood until they come in contact with an antigen and become activated. Once activated, B cells produce the antibodies needed to fight against infection. B cells are necessary for adaptive or specific immunity, which focuses on the destruction of foreign invaders that have gotten past the bodies initial defenses. Adaptive immune responses are highly specific and provide long-lasting protection against the pathogens that elicit the response. B Cells and Antibodies B cells are a specific type of white blood cell called a lymphocyte. Other types of lymphocytes include T cells and natural killer cells. B cells develop from stem cells in bone marrow. They remain in the bone marrow until they become mature. Once they are fully developed, B cells are released into the blood where they travel to lymphatic organs. Mature B cells are capable of becoming activated and producing antibodies. Antibodies are specialized proteins  that travel through the bloodstream and are found in bodily fluids. Antibodies recognize specific antigens by identifying certain areas on the surface of the antigen known as antigenic determinants. Once the specific antigenic determinant is recognized, the antibody will bind to the determinant. This binding of the antibody to the antigen identifies the antigen as a target to be destroyed by other immune cells, such as cytotoxic T cells. B Cell Activation On the surface of a B cell is a B cell receptor (BCR) protein. The BCR enables B cells to capture and bind to an antigen. Once bound, the antigen is internalized and digested by the B cell and certain molecules from the antigen are attached to another protein called a class II MHC protein. This antigen-class II MHC protein complex is then presented on the surface of the B cell. Most B cells are activated with the help of other immune cells. When cells such as macrophages and dendritic cells engulf and digest pathogens, they capture and present antigenic information to T cells. The T cells multiply and some differentiate into helper T cells. When a helper T cell comes in contact with the antigen-class II MHC protein complex on the B cells surface, the helper T cell sends signals that activate the B cell. Activated B cells proliferate and can either develop into cells called plasma cells or into other cells called memory cells. Plasma B Cells These cells create antibodies that are specific to a specific antigen. The antibodies circulate in bodily fluids and blood serum until they bind to an antigen. Antibodies debilitate antigens until other immune cells can destroy them. It can take up to two weeks before plasma cells can generate enough antibodies to counteract a specific antigen. Once the infection is under control, antibody production decreases. Some activated B cells form memory cells. Memory B Cells This specified form of B cell enables the immune system to recognize antigens that the body has previously encountered. If the same type of antigen enters the body again, memory B cells direct a secondary immune response in which antibodies are produced more quickly and for a longer period of time. Memory cells are stored in the lymph nodes and spleen and can remain in the body for the life of an individual. If enough memory cells are produced while encountering an infection, these cells can provide life-long immunity against certain diseases. Sources Immune Cells and Their Products. CASE STUDY 02 Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 1000 words

CASE STUDY 02 - Essay Example The debt position of the company is more or less the same as that of its peers. 7 Dividend policy forms an integral part of corporate finance. It looks obvious that the company must reward its shareholders by declaring high dividends. But then the question is if the company declares all of its earnings as dividend merely to keep the shareholders happy then this will perhaps retard the future growth prospects. For this reason the companies do not declare all its earnings as dividend but they plough back a certain portion of the earnings in the form of ‘Retained Earnings’. The companies pay a lot of attention to ‘dividend policy’ as a fall may invite the wrath of the shareholders and a rise can come in the way of the growth prospects (Ross, et al., 2008, pp. 590). The dividend payment of FPL Group Inc has been on an upward move for the last ten years. In the year 1984 the company declared a dividend per share of $1.77 that reached the levels of $2.47 in 1993. Unlike the steady rise in the divided the earnings per share (EPS) of the company passed through fluctuations on many occasions but the impact of this was not felt on its dividend payment pattern. In fact in the year 1990 FPL Group incurred a net loss of $391.005 million resulting in a negative EPS of $2.86. But even in this year the company declared a dividend of $2.34. The main incentive of a share issue is that payment of dividend is ‘not obligatory’ i.e. a company pays dividend only when it is able to generate sufficient amount of earnings. But this seems to be inapplicable in the real world as is evident from the case of FPL Group. However it is anticipated by the analysts that the group will either cut dividend or keep it stable at the existing level of $2.48 per share . In 1993 FPL Group maintained a dividend payout ratio of 91% which is the highest as compared to its peers. During this period Duke Power Co. maintained a payout ratio of 68%, Florida

Question 2 Z Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 1250 words

Question 2 Z - Essay Example However, their distinct differences in terms of formation, structure and ultimate objective distinguishes them. Interest groups are encapsulated within the blanket of pressure groups, which are organizations that are formed on a voluntary basis and are private in nature operating not to form a government but aims at influencing and regulating policies that a government formulates. Pressure groups are either cause groups or Interest Groups (Kenneth 200). Pressure Groups are the groups that aim to influence the government politically, a significant distinctive feature. Interest groups are different from cause groups as they (interest groups) focus on occupational aspects that affect their members; be it issues to do with business, trading, and professional regulations among others. Its main focus revolves around the welfare of those they fight for in occupational capacities. For example, a Teacher’s Union would raise teachers’ grievances to the Ministry of Education concerning delayed salaries. Structures and hierarchical line of power that commands broad edges of issues affecting people with a belief that given a chance they can provide solutions to those problems. They aim to escalate to power and provide political governance to the people and the issues they touch on are much more general than those of interest groups, which are only about occupational issues. As referenced by Caramani (200), adapted from Huckshorns (1984:10), a political party is a group of independent individuals whose aim is to compete in nominations and run for elections in order to escalate to power and have control of the government. Arguably, political parties aim to escalate to power and capture government offices that give it a mandate for governance. According to Caramani (268), Social Movements are collections of individuals with a clearly recognized rival and are involved in a battle and share a central

School Examinations Should Be Abolished Essay -- essays research paper

Examinations, as we know it, have emerged to be the main facet of modern education in the ever-changing landscape of academia. In an education infrastructure that is as unpredictable as the clouds, it is somewhat ironic that the system of examinations as a means of judging a student’s ability has prevailed through the years. Every person, in their quest for knowledge, would inevitably encounter numerous modes of examinations throughout the course of their academic journey. As much importance has been attached to it in virtually every academic institutions across the globe, the voices of those who lobby for its eradication are seldom heard, let alone be considered seriously. There are various reasons for policymakers to initiate a rethink of the much-vaunted examination system. I am of the opinion that the time has come for us to abolish this system, a system which has come under fire from multiple sections of the community, particularly the students. As it is, examinations are timed written or oral assessments held at the end of an academic term. It serves to asses a student’s knowledge and comprehension of all the subjects he has studied over the course of the term. Rather than tracking a student’s progress over the course of the term, it judges his/her ability over a handful of written or oral pieces. This is obviously not an accurate indication of one’s progress. Take for example the case of an intelligent and dexterous student who never fails to impress teachers and peers alike in his daily homework and assignments, but fell miserably short of the marks when it comes to the examinations, due to unforeseen circumstances that are not within his influence. These so-called â€Å"unforeseen circumstances† might be familial problems t... ...people society is saturated with presently, unfortunately. On a final note, the time is ripe for all concerned to take a step back and re-assess the real benefits of examinations. It is an exigent circumstance which we are in. As society evolves and technology advances, there is much more to education than simply monotonously memorizing the bare facts of the world. The globalised world of today requires our children to embrace the earth and be innovative. Creativity fuels the innovation engine, with examinations, it is difficult to see how the imaginative aspects of their minds can be developed. One can envision the miserable world our future generations will thrive in, if no steps are taken to keep up with the present day’s needs. We cannot allow ourselves to be entrenched in deeply traditional methods, antiquated values no longer function in this day and age.

Aristotle and Kant Essay

Aristotle and Immanuel Kant have greatly influenced the moral and cultural views, and the way that we perceive the world as a whole now. If Aristotle was only judged solely in terms of his philosophical influence, only Plato is his peer: Aristotle’s works shaped centuries of philosophy from late antiquity through the renaissance, and even today continue to be studied with keen. On the other hand, Kant synthesized early modern rationalism and empiricism, set the terms for much of nineteenth and twentieth century philosophy, and continues to exercise a significant influence today in metaphysics, ethics, political philosophy, aesthetics, and other fields. Aristotle was a Greek philosopher and polymath. His writings cover many subjects including physics, poetry, music, biology and ethics. Together with Plato and Socrates, Aristotle is one of the most important founding figures in Western philosophy. His views on the physical sciences profoundly shaped medieval scholarship and their influence extended well into the Renaissance, although they were ultimately replaced by Newtonian physics. Immanuel Kant was a German philosopher who is widely considered to be a central figure of modern philosophy. He argued that human concepts and categories structure our view of the world and its laws, and that reason is source of morality. His thought continues to hold a major influence in contemporary thought, especially in fields such as metaphysics, epistemology, ethics, political philosophy, and aesthetics. He is seen as a major figure in the history and development of philosophy. German and European thinking progressed after his time, and his influence still inspires philosophical work today.
